About Noel

Noel Smith is an attorney with over 20 years of courtroom experience in Illinois and Missouri. His practice primarily focuses on toxic tort defense and general civil defense litigation. Noel’s experience includes significant court appearances, including jury trial experience, in St. Louis, the St. Louis Metro area in the Illinois counties of Madison and St. Clair, and various other counties in Southern Illinois. Noel has been the primary client contact and/or relationship partner for numerous businesses and insurers in these areas of practice. He also served for many years as National Counsel for a contractor in asbestos litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Noel was a partner at several firms including a large defense firm in Madison County, Illinois. While there, in addition to doing injury litigation, Noel prosecuted a substantial commercial litigation claim on behalf of a governmental body. Noel has been recognized by his peers for his achievements in law including as an Illinois Super Lawyers, Rising Star, 2009 - 2010, Illinois Emerging Lawyer, 2015 & 2016, and Illinois Leading Lawyers 2019. Noel grew up in Southern Illinois and currently resides with his wife and two children in Madison County, Illinois.
