Joseph M. Noone

Joseph M. Noone joined the law firm of Avery and Dooley, LLP in October 1994 and in 1998 became a Partner in the firm (now Avery Dooley & Noone, LLP). He focuses his practice on the representation of individuals and businesses engaged in civil litigation in both the state and federal court systems, specializing in insurance defense litigation, coverage matters, products liability, construction litigation, property and fire damage claims, employment, and personal injury. Mr. Noone also handles residential and commercial real estate transactions and business entity formation. Prior to joining the firm, he was Assistant Counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

Peter H. Noone

Peter H. Noone joined Avery and Dooley, LLP in 1995 as an Associate and has been a Partner with the firm (now Avery Dooley & Noone, LLP) since 1998. He focuses his practice as a trial lawyer in the areas of federal employment law, administrative law and appeals, security clearance matters, and whistleblower and discrimination complaints. Mr. Noone has represented federal employees and federal, state, and local law enforcement officers in litigation and disciplinary proceedings, including before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and in United States District Court. He also provides specialized training to investigative personnel, managers, and employees.

Julie M. Brady

Julie M. Brady joined Avery Dooley & Noone in December 2004, focusing on litigation. She has extensive trial experience in Massachusetts Superior Courts, Land Court, and Probate and Family Court, and has argued cases before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals. Ms. Brady specializes in employment matters, representing clients in employment-related litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She also handles complex tort litigation, including insurance, consumer protection, premises liability, product liability, and business litigation.

Patricia M. Ballard

Patricia M. Ballard joined Avery Dooley & Noone in March 2013. Her practice primarily focuses on representing federal and state employees in employment matters, as well as insurance defense litigation and coverage matters. Ms. Ballard also has experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She handles employment matters such as agency and congressional investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, workplace discrimination matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and whistleblower retaliation claims. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ballard was in-house counsel for a global asset management firm.

Brien P. Connolly

Brien P. Connolly joined Avery, Dooley & Noone in 1992. He focuses on labor and employment law, particularly federal employment law, including administrative law and appeals, security clearance matters, prohibited personnel practices, whistleblower retaliation, and discrimination complaints. Mr. Connolly has defended employees in disciplinary proceedings and represented clients in investigations by various Offices of the Inspector General and internal affairs departments. He also handles matters before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and federal courts.

Danielle Marie Gifford

Danielle Marie Gifford joined Avery Dooley & Noone in October of 2010. As an Associate, she focuses her practice primarily on the representation of federal and state employees in employment matters and on the formation of new business entities. Ms. Gifford handles employment matters such as: Agency and congressional investigations, Office of Special Counsel investigations, Security clearance investigations and revocations, Disciplinary actions, Whistleblower matters, Discrimination claims. She has represented employees in cases before the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Ms. Gifford also has experience in the formation of non-profit, charitable organizations, business transactions, real estate transactions, and probate matters.

Ngai Otieno

Ngai Otieno joined the law firm of Avery Dooley & Noone in March of 2008. An Associate in the firm, Mr. Otieno’s practice focuses on representing federal civilian employees and law enforcement personnel in a broad range of employment-related matters, including: Adverse Actions, Administrative Investigations, Congressional Investigations, Office of Special Counsel Investigations, Whistleblower Matters, Discrimination Claims, Arbitrations and Mediations, Reprisal Complaints, Administrative and Union Grievances.
