About Nola
Nola Tedesco Foulston, a native of Lake Mahopac, NY, received her B.A. from Fort Hays State University (1972) and J.D. from Washburn University (1976). She was admitted to practice in Kansas in 1977, and also before the U.S. District Court of Kansas and the United States Supreme Court. Her legal career began as an Assistant District Attorney in Wichita (1977-1981), followed by civil law practice until 1989. From 1989, she served 24 years as the elected District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District of Kansas, known for her tough stance on crime and prosecuting high-profile cases like the BTK serial killer. She received numerous honors, including the American Bar Association Norm Maleng Minister of Justice Award (2012) and the Washburn University School of Law Lifetime Achievement Award (2013). She is an AV rated Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell® and was recognized on the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers (2013-2014). She has been selected to the Super Lawyers list for the 12th time as of 2018. Her professional memberships include the Wichita, Kansas, and American Bar Associations, Wesley E. Brown American Inn of Court, National District Attorneys Association, and American Academy of Forensic Sciences Jurisprudence Section. She retired in 2013 and joined Hutton & Hutton as a trial attorney specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, and complex tort litigation.
