Cal Whaley was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Alabama in 2011, graduating summa cum laude. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2014, where he worked with the Capital Defense Clinic and focused on trial advocacy. After law school, he worked as a trial attorney in Birmingham, gaining experience in numerous jury trials. He is admitted to practice law in Alabama and all three Federal Districts of Alabama.
