I was born and raised in the New Orleans, Louisiana, Metropolitan area. After receiving my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I moved to Missouri to begin my legal journey at the UMKC School of Law. During law school, I developed a passion for advocacy and sought to be involved with any program or project that would further my litigation skills. I also served as a legal intern to the Honorable Harold L. Lowenstein of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. Since graduation, I have spent my entire legal career practicing in the Midwest region. Following law school, I worked for several years at a big defense firm representing large companies. Indeed, working on the defense side provided me with an employer's perspective on litigation that has been invaluable to my practice. However, I knew I wanted to work for individuals who had been wronged in some form or fashion. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people. Matt Deschler is a life-long resident of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Liberty High School in 2004 and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. In 2011, he graduated with high honors from Temple University's Beasley School of Law. For the next two years, he clerked for the Honorable Anthony S. Richard M. Fricke is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.
