Patricia Kalkanis

Patricia grew up in Wadsworth, Illinois. She attended Warren Township High School and then Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she co-founded Alpha Sigma Alpha (later Alpha Gamma Delta) and served as President of the Student Government Association, earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Paralegal Certificate in 2008. She then attended Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, where she was active in the Women’s Lawyer Association and volunteered at the Dispute Resolution Center of Western Michigan. She completed her last semester as a 7-11 intern at the Lake County State’s Attorney Office. After earning her Juris Doctorate and being admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2012, she worked in civil law before joining the Will County Public Defender’s Office in 2013. She has been with The Tomczak Law Group since 2014, defending clients from traffic tickets to homicides. Patricia sits on the Will County Bar Association board as a director and was appointed Village Trustee of Plainfield in 2019, elected for a four-year term in 2021.

Maria is a proud native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and an alumna of Queens University of Charlotte, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She further pursued her passion for the law by attending law school in North Carolina, where her enthusiasm for the legal field truly flourished. During her time in law school, Maria excelled as a member of the Trial Team, competing in national competitions and honing her advocacy skills. She also gained invaluable experience as an extern with the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office, where she developed a deep commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal challenges. Driven by her dedication to serving families, Maria chose to focus her practice on family law, representing clients across multiple counties in North Carolina. With a profound understanding of the complexities of family dynamics and relationships, Maria is known for her ability to connect with clients and handle sensitive cases with care and professionalism. Nikolaos Keffalonitis

Nikolaos "Nikos" Kefallonitis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He attended the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Law, graduating in 2016. He completed a legal traineeship and passed the Greek Bar Examination. He holds a Master of Arts degree from Panteion University and an LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law (2020). He is licensed in Greece and California and is currently an Associate Attorney at The Law Offices of Gavril T. Gabriel.

Nickita A. Alexiades

Newark, NJ

Nickita Alexiades graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2024 with a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law. Prior to attending law school, he earned a Barchelors Degree (B.E) in Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 2017. After obtaining his B.E., Mr. Alexiades worked as a Regulatory Affairs Consultant/Engineer in the medical device manufacturing industry for several years. During his law school days, Mr. Alexiades interned in the Family Division of the Hudson County Superior Court under the Honorable Tara Schillari Rich and also interned at Servilla Whitney LLC as a patent prosecution intern.

Georgios Tarasidis is an associate attorney licensed in Connecticut and Alabama. He received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law and has experience in criminal defense. He is Greek-American and speaks Greek.

Leilah Rodriguez

Newport Beach, CA

Leilah Rodriguez graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a minor in Communication, Policy, and Law. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Irvine School of Law in 2023. Leilah is active in plaintiff's side mass tort litigation, contributing to cases involving human rights violations and police brutality. She is proficient in Arabic and Greek.

Christina H. Kranias is a member of Upton & Hatfield’s business and real estate practice groups. She has experience in drafting contracts, corporate governance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. She received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. Christina received a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law with a certificate in Entertainment Law. During law school, she was an executive board member of the UNH Franklin Pierce Health Law Moot Court and received the Warren B. Rudman Summer Fellowship. Prior to joining Upton & Hatfield, Christina was a legal extern at a business and transactional law firm in New Hampshire and also externed with the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights. Christina is currently involved in the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association and the Hellenic Bar Association of New England. Christina is fluent in Greek.
