He is a reservist with the U.S. Air Force, and is fluent in Mandarin and Japanese. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and learning about aviation.

Karmen assists with all aspects of personal injury law practice. She has rich experiences in clients consultation, processing, and invesigation of complex matters. Karmen grew up locally in San Jose. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dan H. Pelin

Dan H. Pelin grew up on the East coast and became a member of the California Bar in 2007. He previously represented workers’ compensation insurance companies, giving him an advantage in litigating on behalf of injured workers. He is familiar with the doctors and Judges within the system and enjoys advocating for workers' rights.

Shelley Chen

Shelley earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations, and has completed paralegal studies from University of California, Los Angeles. She supports our litigation team with legal filings, research and administrative tasks. Her past work experience has helped enhance her personal skills and enables her to work well with different generations and people from all walks of life. Prior to joining our firm, Shelley worked in hospitality, non-profit and media. She is passionate in assisting those in need, bridging cultural gaps and bringing about positive changes to individuals and communities. Shelley is patient, receptive, observant, and respectful. Her attention to detail allows her to juggle many balls at the same time and not get flustered. She is also very enthusiastic and encouraging, with an incredible work ethic.

Xiaoman Bian is an associate attorney focusing on immigration law and family law. She assists clients with family-based, employment-based, and other immigration-related cases, ensuring a smooth application process. In family law, she guides clients through divorce or separation proceedings, helping them understand their options and achieve the best solutions.

Franklin Liu

Frank Liu has over five years of experience in the legal industry servicing the Chinese community. Prior to joining the team, he worked in the tech industry assisting companies with finding best business practices and workplace solutions for everyday issues. As part of his dedication to servicing the community, Frank regularly volunteers his time assisting mentally distressed individuals with regaining control of their life. In the past, he has also volunteered at several non-profits that centered around keeping troubled youth away from gang violence. He has been nationally recognized by the US Congress, Assembly, and the House of Representatives for his service to the community.

Christina Zheng

East Meadow, NY

Christina concentrates her practice in general liability and insurance defense, including, but not limited to, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, attending and conducting depositions and court conferences and drafting and arguing motions. At a prior firm, Christina advised on the application of federal tax credits, handled matters involving regulatory compliance, liability and insurance claims and advocacy in immigration matters. Christina is also fluent in Mandarin.

Mr. Rawson is a partner at the firm practicing corporate and general business law. Mr. Rawson assists companies with financings, mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, and other business transactions and agreements. In addition, he assists early stage companies with formation, structure, strategic relationships, venture capital financings, and other financings.

Cindy is a Client Advocate II delivering excellence within both the pre-litigation and litigation departments at Venerable Injury Law. As a Client Advocate II, Cindy is responsible for handling client intakes, medical review, and other claim management tasks, as well as providing specialized translator services on behalf of clients. Cindy has many years of dedicated customer-oriented service in her professional background, which is drawn upon to ensure that client expectations are exceeded at every stage of their claim(s). Alvin Jones

North Las Vegas, NV

Alvin Jones's career is marked by a pursuit of justice, cultural passion, and service. A U.S. Army veteran, he studied Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and Korean, and served as an Intelligence Analyst in Iraq. He earned a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Brigham Young University and a law degree from Washburn Law School. He was selected for the Legal Aid Clinic and received the Trial Advocacy Award. He combines his military discipline and cultural insights to advocate for justice.

Mr. Gorringe is a partner in the firm’s litigation department. His practice is focused on general civil and commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, construction defect, insurance coverage, partnership disputes, and probate and trust litigation.

Alfred Tsai

Alfred Tsai oversees Troy Law’s informational technology and its Taipei branch office, and national local counsel network. He previously managed office finances and handled immigration, matrimonial, and real estate cases. He holds a J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.A. from Columbia University. He is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Taiwanese.

Tom Tam

Tom Tam brings a wealth of experience and bilingual proficiency in Mandarin to our team at PPRCLaw. He earned his Master’s degree in Legal Studies from Arizona State University, specializing in diverse legal disciplines such as business structures, tax systems, tort law, criminal law, employment law, intellectual property law, and contract construction and lifecycle. Tom’s academic background enables him to adeptly apply legal principles to practical client scenarios, translating abstract concepts into precise legal terms. Prior to joining PPRCLaw, Tom honed his skills through hands-on experience, emphasizing diligence and refining his communication and management abilities. Currently, Tom primarily supports our Mandarin-speaking clients, ensuring they receive tailored legal assistance that meets their specific needs. He is dedicated to leveraging his expertise to effectively serve and support our clients at every stage of their legal journey.

Valerie’s practice focuses on Real Estate Closings for both commercial and residential properties ranging from several thousand to multimillion dollar projects for both US Citizens and foreigners abroad. In additional to providing real estate closing services, Valerie also offers family and employment-based immigration services in conjunction with several international businesses.

Jessica Burton

Anchorage, AK

Jess Burton's formative years spent between the San Juan Islands of Washington State and China exposed her to diverse cultures and instilled a strong sense of global community and service. Her deep commitment to helping others was recognized early when she received the 2012 China Red Cross Award for her significant volunteer efforts in rural China. Jess furthered her education at Emory University, earning degrees in Chinese and Psychology, which equipped her with the skills necessary for her subsequent roles in the legal field. Jess's professional experience includes impactful work at Dentons Law's China headquarters and within the in-house team at Virgin Money in the UK, where she honed her expertise in international and business law. After returning to the United States, she pursued a Juris Doctor at the University of Washington School of Law, excelling as a Research Fellow and reaching the quarterfinals in the 2020 UW Law Contracts Negotiation Competition. Her commitment to service led her to volunteer in the Rural Alaska Tax Assistance Program, profoundly connecting her with the community and inspiring her relocation to Alaska. Now based in Anchorage, Jess specializes in business law, estate planning, contract disputes, etc., bringing a well-rounded international perspective and dedicated advocacy to her clients.
