Simon Nicholson

Simon Nicholson has always had a heart to serve others. At a young age, he and his family moved from Florida to the countries of Guatemala and later Mexico to serve the less fortunate. Simon and his family focused on helping the local youth through gang related outreach and also hosted medical teams from the U.S. who would travel to remote villages to care for people in need. Growing up abroad and having the opportunity to be raised in an environment of constant service gave Simon a true understanding of the importance of compassion and the Golden Rule “Treat others how you want to be treated”. After living abroad for approximately 15 years, Simon returned to Florida, where his passion led him to pursue a career in Law and ultimately founding Sunshine State Law Firm. Reed J. Werner

“Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, and unsurprised by anything in between.” - Maya Angelou Reed grew up in California in a household of six boys. Competition was ever present. He was often faced with the challenge of having to earn everything on his own. He has worked hard for everything his entire life. Reed earned his undergraduate degree in sociology from Brigham Young University. He also spent two years in El Salvador as a missionary. He then went to law school at Willamette University and earned his law degree. He moved to Nevada in 2004 and passed the bar exam. He went to work for a firm that did a little of everything and he was always tasked with the challenging, weird, or different cases. He did mostly civil and commercial litigation. He worked on construction law and employment law cases. He was then hired as in house counsel for a large construction company and assisted them with all kinds of legal issues across several state. While there he took and passed the California bar exam. The great recession put the construction company out of business and Reed returned again to civil litigation working for Nationwide and then The Hartford. After witnessing the game playing and unfairness of how individuals were treated by the insurance companies, Reed decided that his heart was better suited to helping individuals hurt by the carelessness of others. Reed is very involved in various service organizations coaching youth soccer, basketball and other sports. He also is the President of the Moapa Valley Rotary Club. He is a volunteer with the State Bar of Nevada sitting as a panel chair on the disciplinary panel for Southern Nevada and acting as a mediator and arbitrator for attorney fee disputes.
