About Robert
Robert D. “Robby” Robbins is a partner at Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., practicing criminal defense, DUI defense, personal injury, workers' compensation, business litigation, and local government relations. He was born in Charleston, S.C., and graduated as valedictorian from Dorchester Academy. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science and his law degree from the University of South Carolina. He served as First Circuit Deputy Solicitor for Dorchester, Orangeburg, and Calhoun Counties, and later as First Circuit Solicitor for Dorchester County, achieving a 98% trial conviction rate. He joined Thurmond Kirchner & Timbes, P.A., in 2018 to launch their Dorchester office. He has held significant public service roles, including Chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Commission and South Carolina House Representative.
