Stanley Eisenstein

About Stanley

Stanley Eisenstein had an illustrious 50-year career at Katz Friedman. He handled hundreds of NLRB complaints for labor union clients and was a primary litigator for the UAW against Caterpillar Corp. He successfully handled individual discrimination cases, including a major jury verdict against United Airlines. He authored "Overview of Fair Labor Standards Act as it Applies to Public Employment" and numerous labor and employment law articles. He was a frequent speaker on labor issues and a past chairperson of the Labor and Employment Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar. He received Certificates of Appreciation from the Illinois State Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association. He earned his B.A. in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in 1968 with high honors and his J.D. from the same institution in 1973. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 7th and 9th Circuits, and U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, and the Northern District of Indiana.
