About Stefanie
Ms. Bitter’s practice areas include Real Property Law, Zoning & Land Use Planning, Landlord/Tenant, Municipal Law & Finance, and Environmental Law. Born in Schenectady, New York in 1975, she was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2001. She received her B.A. from Hartwick College in 1997, graduating with departmental distinction in Political Science. Her J.D. cum laude was from Albany Law School of Union University in 2000. She is a member of the Justinian Society. Ms. Bitter joined the firm in 2000 as an Associate Attorney, and has been a Principal since 2008. She is a member of the Warren County, New York State Bar Association, and a founding member and first secretary (2004) of the Adirondack Women’s Bar Association. She is on the Steering Committee of the Northeastern Chapter of Junior Achievement and on the Board of Directors of the Adirondack Saratoga Chapter of the Red Cross. She sits on the Real Estate Committee of the Warren County Bar Association. In 2011, Ms. Bitter was named to the Board of Directors for Council Meadows. In 2013 and 2014, she was recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as a rising star in the Land Use/Zoning practice area. In October 2010, she was recognized by The Post Star as one of their 20 under 40.
