About James
Upon graduation from law school, Jim became a Westchester County Assistant District Attorney. He has a distinguished thirty-eight year career as a trial attorney, known for his success before a jury and versatility in handling both plaintiffs' and defense actions. His accomplishments include a $5.6 million verdict, representing trustees of Dr. Robert Atkins' estate, prosecuting the wrongful death action of Steve Bechler, and serving as lead defense counsel in the Ethan Allen tour boat capsizing case. He has secured multi-million dollar recoveries for corporations and individuals, and regularly represents physicians in malpractice actions and regulatory investigations. Jim is also involved in intellectual property and Estate & Trusts litigation. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Litigation Counsel of America, a perennial Super Lawyer, and a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates and Elite Lawyers.
