About Catherine
Catherine Friesen is a former federal prosecutor in the EDNY and an experienced litigator in both Federal and New York State Court. She handled complex RICO/racketeering cases as an Assistant United States Attorney, receiving two Directors Awards for Superior Performances. In private practice, she has handled land use, municipal law, personal injury, and construction-related lawsuits, and successfully argued numerous appeals. She previously taught history, served as an acting justice in Upper Nyack Village Court, and is active on the Nyack Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board. Catherine is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and attended Columbia Law School.
