Adrian Vivar-Alcalde is an attorney at Ballin, Ballin & Fishman, P.C., focusing on family law. He previously worked at Breakstone and Associates and Frager Law Firm, handling immigration cases. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2015 with a B.A. and earned his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2018. He was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar in October 2018. Adrian is fluent in Spanish.

Megan B. McCormack

Albuquerque, NM

Megan B. McCormack is a graduate of University of New Mexico. She received a Master’s in Bilingual Education in Madrid, Spain and is fluent in Spanish after living there for 8 years. She began law school at La Verne Law School in San Bernardino, California and returned to New Mexico in 2020 to graduate with honors from UNM School of Law in May 2022. She worked in immigration law and environmental law during law school before coming to FCHC as a law clerk in July 2021. Megan was the President of the Public Interest Law Foundation as a 1L and Vice President of the New Mexico Criminal Defense Attorney (NMCDLA) Student chapter during her 3L year. Megan loves to cook, take walks in the bosque, and read mystery novels in her free time.

Carolina Truesdale

Waco, TX

Carolina Truesdale graduated Cum Laude from Texas Tech University School of Law. She has had a lifetime passion for serving families during challenging times, and law school only reinforced those feelings and belief. While in law school, Carolina worked in the District Attorney’s Office as an appellate clerk and volunteered for Lone Star Legal Aid. She also was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. Carolina previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University, where she earned a spot on the Dean’s List and became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She is a native of Monclova, Mexico and is fluent in both Spanish and French. Carolina’s practice focuses on all aspects of Family, both original proceedings and modifications of prior matters. From Divorce and Child Custody, to complex property divisions and adoptions, Carolina has broad hands-on experience for those and similar legal needs in our community. Carolina is married to her husband who she met at Baylor. In her free time, Carolina likes to spend time painting, reading, and gardening.

Robert Suarez

Robert is an associate attorney in the immigration department at Latorre Law Firm. He graduated from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2010 and has extensive experience in family-based immigration applications, including adjustment of status, DACA, U-visas, T-visas, VAWA, and military parole in place (PIP) applications. As a 20-year veteran of the Armed Forces, Robert is uniquely equipped to assist young men and women who wish to petition their parents for military PIP. As the child of immigrant parents, Robert personally experienced the challenges faced by millions of immigrants today. This experience inspired his passion for learning the law and motivated him to serve the Latino community. Prior to joining the firm, Robert worked as a Staff Attorney at a non-profit organization, where he represented clients in immigration matters, handled appeals before the USCIS Board of Appeals, and assisted immigrants with tax-related issues before the U.S. Tax Court. Robert believes that every client’s case deserves personal attention and dedication to achieve the best possible results.

Helen Daniel Holman is a founding partner of Daniel | Williams & Associates PLLC, established in 2009. She heads the Employment Law and Immigration Law divisions, advising clients across various industries. She is recognized for her work in women's rights, fighting sexual harassment and workplace inequalities, and advocating for immigration reform before the U.S. Department of Justice. She is admitted to practice in the United States Southern District of Texas, Louisiana Supreme Court, United States Eastern District of Louisiana, and United States Middle District of Louisiana.

Nathalie D. Lezcano Beitia

Nathalie Lezcano Beitia, originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, holds a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University, with Spanish fluency. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she was active in student organizations and pro bono work. She is excited to develop her legal practice in Virginia, focusing on family law, small business representation, and cybersecurity/data privacy.

Through her studies, Alicia developed a deeper understanding of how racism has shaped our nation’s legal system and learned strategies to further civil and human rights. Natalia Tsokos

Austin, TX

Natalia Tsokos is a first-generation American who developed a passion for fighting for people in the criminal legal system after witnessing injustice at the Lubbock County Detention Center. Her parents, immigrants from Colombia and Greece, instilled in her the value of education, helping others, and embracing diversity. She graduated with a degree in social work and worked with incarcerated individuals, people in recovery, and foster children before pursuing law. She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, concentrating in criminal law and innocence. During her summers, she interned for criminal defense attorneys in Oklahoma, Houston, and Austin, assisting on cases from assault and family violence to capital murder. At Cofer & Connelly, she relentlessly advocates for clients, leading efforts on expunctions, administrative license revocations, and license eligibility, and translating for Spanish-speaking clients. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to Greece and Colombia, reading, and outdoor activities with her dog, Oscar.

Tina Markham graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, with a minor in Spanish. Thereafter, Tina accepted a full-time position in administration, programming, and customer service with a local non-profit in Huntsville, Texas. During this time, Tina also pursued and graduated with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. In October of 2014, Tina decided she wanted to switch career focus and started working for Bloodworth Law Firm as a Legal Secretary. Tina ended up enjoying the legal field so much that she enrolled in and was accepted into the Executive JD program with Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in the fall of 2017. This Executive JD program is a hybrid program and is fully accredited with the American Bar Association. This hybrid program allowed for Tina to strategically divide her legal education between traveling to Minnesota and remaining in Texas, maintain her residency in Texas, and continue to be employed with Bloodworth Law Firm as a Senior Paralegal while in law school. While in law school, Tina earned the honor of being on the Dean’s List and a nominee for the Burton Award, which is a prestigious legal writing award presented to first-year students at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Tina was licensed to practice law in April of 2021 by the Supreme Court of Texas and will continue her legal journey as an Associate Attorney with Bloodworth Law Firm.

David Handley

Glen Ellyn, IL

David Handley joins Burke & Handley, P.C. after five years at civil litigation defense firms in Chicago. He has extensive experience representing businesses, hospitals, doctors, municipalities, and international manufacturers, handling cases from pre-litigation through trial and appeals. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council and authors a bi-annual chapter for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2018 and his B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. He served as a Judicial Extern for Hon. John W. Darrah and worked for the Chicago Transit Authority’s Law Department. He is proficient in Spanish and served as General Counsel for the Leukemia Research Foundation Affiliate Board.
