Kristin Payne’s interest in the law was stoked by all the law shows she watched as a youngster growing up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Years later, after joining her husband in the States, an opportunity arose to apply for a legal receptionist job at a young law firm in Chicago. She applied thinking it would be a good way to get her foot in the door. That legal receptionist job soon turned into a paralegal position and now, eight years later, Kristin is the Director of Legal Operations for Arizona, the latest location to join the Tony S. Kalogerakos, Esq.-Injury Lawyers family of legal services. In this role Kristin is the one clients turn to for help understanding what to expect. She’s the one who explains how bills will be paid, offers advice on the timing of property damage claims, and generally guides clients as they wind their way through the legal process. Raquel LeBlanc, a seasoned professional with a rich legal background, is a vital member of our team, serving as both a Paralegal and the HR Director. Her journey in the legal field began with academic excellence, earning a BA and a Paralegal Degree from Tulane University New Orleans in 1994. Demonstrating her commitment to legal education, she later achieved her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans in 1997. Raquel’s early legal career saw her practice personal injury law in the vibrant landscapes of New Orleans and Covington, Louisiana. In 2005, she brought her wealth of experience to Lindale, Texas, where she transitioned into the role of a Paralegal. Her multifaceted role also includes serving as the HR Director for our firm, showcasing her diverse skill set and leadership capabilities. Born in Madrid, Spain, Raquel’s cultural background enriches her ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, providing invaluable support to clients and team members. The COVID pandemic created an opportunity to pursue my legal career, so we decided to move closer to family while I undertook a law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. In addition to my legal training, I took the opportunity to compete for the school's highly successful Mock Trial Team. After law school, my wife and I knew we wanted to raise our daughter in the community she grew up in.
