Fred Donaldson

Fred L. Donaldson is a seasoned civil litigator and trusted legal advisor, leading the Civil Litigation Department at FCB with more than a decade of experience. He advises businesses, nonprofits, schools, and individuals on complex legal issues including business law, education law, property disputes, employment matters, family law, and estate planning. Prior to FCB, he served as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Utah State Board of Education and as General Counsel and Superintendent for DaVinci Academy. He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, a Master’s in Education from the University of Houston, and a B.A. in History and Spanish from the University of Utah.

Mia De La Parra

Mia De La Parra joined Shifrin Law Group in 2024 while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies with a minor in Legal Studies at Roosevelt University. She previously earned her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies with High Honors from Wright College, where she discovered her passion for the legal field. Mia is fluent in Spanish and a certified notary public. She is an active member of the Chicago Paralegal Association, American Association of Notaries, and is dedicated to furthering her legal education with the goal of becoming an attorney.

Isabelle A. Malakpour

Boca Raton, FL

Originally from Connecticut, she relocated to South Florida to pursue her undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science. During her time at FAU, she held leadership roles as an executive board member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and served as a Delegate of the National Model United Nations, competing in Washington, D.C. After graduation, she took a gap year to study for the LSAT and worked as a Law Clerk at the Berman Law Group. She then moved to Boston to attend Suffolk University Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2024. At Suffolk, she received the Honorable Mention Brief Award for her work in the Legal Practice Skills class and held leadership positions on the executive board of the Latin American Law Students Association. She also served as the Chief Note Editor on the Suffolk Transnational Law Review executive board, overseeing the publication of scholarly articles and providing guidance to fellow editors. Her Note on Human Rights Law was published in Volume XLVII of the journal. She is fluent in Spanish.

Elianeth Garcia (known as Ely) jointed the DLG family in Sept 2023. She has been serving as a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant for over 10 years. She has a background as teacher in her native country, Cuba, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Ely is a Spanish speaking that would describe her primary responsibility as “Help people get a new financial start and fight for their future”. She is committed to helping DLG make a difference in the lives of its clients and the community. Ely’s favorite part of working at DLG is the strong sense of teamwork, she has joined the goal of bringing positivity to the workplace, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported. In her free time, Ely enjoys spending time with her family, cooking “Cuban food”, watching movies, playing dominos, and volunteer at her Christian church(she is also the leader of her church's women's ministry).

Fiorella A. Gasco is a partner in the Firm’s Property Damage Practice. Fiorella specializes in representing homeowners and business owners in property damage and coverage disputes throughout the state. Before joining Kanner & Pintaluga, Fiorella gained experience serving as an associate attorney at a well-respected South Florida defense firm. She has represented insurance companies in auto-accidents and premise liability cases and has several years of experience representing insurance carriers in first party disputes. Fiorella uses this training and experience to ensure maximum recovery for the policy holders she represents. Fiorella received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. She went on to attend Florida International University College of Law where she graduated cum laude. During law school, she served as a Senior Staff Member for the FIU Law Review and was part of the FIU Law Moot Court Team. Fiorella is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, including the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Giselle Garcia

Giselle Garcia is the Managing Family Law Attorney at our firm and one of the few Spanish-speaking attorneys serving Central Oregon. With over 10 years of legal experience and a strong background in trial advocacy, Giselle is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate challenging times with clarity and compassion. She holds a B.S. in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and earned her Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law, graduating in the top 10 of her class. While in law school, she served on Law Review and received multiple Witkin Awards for academic excellence. Outside the courtroom, Giselle enjoys quality time with her daughter, family, and friends, along with reading and staying active through HIIT workouts.

Thomas Hays

Santa Ana, CA

Thomas Hays is a second-generation Worker’s Compensation attorney with a broad range of legal experience. Growing up under the tutelage of his late father William Hays, Thomas was trained by the best. William Hays was a legendary attorney who represented firefighters and other safety members for over fifty years. Thomas Hays also has extensive experience working for one of the state’s largest defense firms, Stockwell Harris, and Shaw Jacobsmeyer representing notable employers such as the San Francisco 49ers and Zurich Insurance Company. Thomas Hays formed Comp Laws PC to honor his father’s legacy and to bring together all of his legal experiences for the benefit of injured workers.

Ana Luisa Mendicuti is a bilingual lawyer graduated from the Autonomous University of Yucatán, Faculty of Law. She has more than four years of experience in notarial law, civil law, real estate, and inheritance law, among other branches of law. In the area of property transactions, she has experience with acquisitions made through trust/Fideicomiso and Infonavit Credit. She was a scholarship recipient of the Mexico and United States Embassy international exchange program “Jovenes en Acción 2010” and received an Honorable Mention for a project in the Premio Nacional Juvenil del Agua/National Youth Water Award 2012, a joint initiative of the Mexican and Swedish embassies. Karla Ruiz graduated with honors in Spanish and French from one of the most prestigious private universities in the country, Universidad Iberoamericana. She is certified in three different languages. Her passion for international law led her to study at the renowned university in Lille, France. Afterwards, she completed an internship at the Mexican Consulate in France, further enhancing her knowledge of international law. She has also handled administrative procedures in Chile. With extensive experience in the real estate market, she has over 4 years of experience in corporate matters and trust operations. Currently, she is focused on foreign investment in notarial law for both nationals and foreigners.
